Real Madrid fans thought they were getting through a full football match without losing any of their key stars to injury. But, as we have seen this season, that rarely happens.

It was reported that Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr had all picked up small injuries during the 2-1 win over Rayo Vallecano.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti had subbed Bellingham and Rodrygo off at some point during the second half, but Vinicius Jr played the whole match, which kind of insinuated that everything was ok with him.

However, a tweet by The Athletic's Real Madrid correspondent Guillermo Rai discussed the three injuries, and gave the fans an update on their fitness ahead of Real Madrid's round-of-16 clash against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Bellingham are injured, but they should be fine for Atletico Madrid

According to the journalist, the club says that Vinicius Jr suffered an injury to his toe, Bellingham suffered a minor blow to his right thigh and Rodrygo has a blow in the metatarsal of his left hand.

The journalist says that these injuries are not deemed serious by Ancelotti and he still counts on them for the match against Atletico Madrid.

Bellingham, who missed the first leg of the Champions League tie, showed some discomfort when he collided with a Rayo player during the match, and was subbed off shortly after. Rodrygo came off before that.

Ancelotti also said in the press conference that the injury to Bellingham is 'nothing serious' and the Englishman should still be in contention for the Madrid derby.

It comes as a relief for all Real Madrid fans all over the globe as it is one of the most important matches of the season, and Real Madrid would want to make sure that they have their best players fit and firing as they chase a 16th Champions League title.
