Real Madrid and Vinicius Junior have made it clear that they both want a contract extension. Comments made by Alvaro Arbeloa indicate the higher-ups intend on keeping the Brazilian while the player himself has spoken of his desire to stay put.

That hasn't stopped talk growing over a possible exit this summer because his contract expires in the summer of 2027. He has returned to form under Arbeloa and is coming to the fore at a vital stage of the season.

Madrid need to have plans in place to potentially replace Vinicius should both parties fail to agree on a new deal. If the 25-year-old is to be sold it will likely happen this summer.

Real Madrid attentive to potential Vinicius replacement

Some of the very best wingers in world football have been talked up as potential Vinicius replacements. That includes Paris Saint-Germain's Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Juventus' Kenan Yildiz, who Eden Hazard believes looks a Madrid player.

Another name to add to the list is Bayern Munich's Michael Olise who is starring in the Bundesliga. The French winger joined the Bavarians from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2024.

The 24-year-old has flourished under Vincent Kompany this season, posting a remarkable 13 goals and 25 assists in 34 games across competitions. He was one of Europe's most in-demand attackers when he joined the German giants.

According to TEAMtalk, it's not guaranteed that Olise will spend the rest of his career at Bayern. He is thought to desire playing in Spain at some stage and Madrid and Barcelona are "fully aware of his trajectory."

That suggests Los Blancos are monitoring his progress and he could be on the club's radar should Vinicius depart. He has over three years on his contract and Liverpool are reportedly eyeing him as Mohamed Salah replacement.

Olise should be considered regardless of Vinicius

It seems increasingly likely that Vinicius will sign a new contract with Madrid. He is clearly keen to remain with the Spanish giants where he has thrived since arriving back in 2018.

That doesn't mean other members of Los Blancos' attack aren't safe from a potential sale. Reports claim that the club could consider offers for Rodrygo once Endrick returns as they are prioritising their Lyon loanee.

If Rodrygo were to make way then swooping for Olise could be an excellent decision. His versatility allows him to play on either wing and even as an attacking midfielder.
