Vinicius Junior has long been on the Saudi Pro League's radar and one of his Real Madrid teammates has now joined him on their wishlist. The Brazilian winger's future is still not determined despite a clear desire shown from both parties for him to extend his contract.
The 25-year-old's current deal expires in 2027 meaning he'll have a year left on his contract this summer. He has returned to form under Alvaro Arbeloa but if a renewal can't be agreed on there is a chance Saudi Arabian officials come calling.
Madrid might not only have a decision to make regarding Vinicius' future but also Eduardo Camavinga. The French midfielder hasn't enjoyed the best of seasons and Los Blancos are expected to bolster their midfield this summer.
Real Madrid's Camavinga being eyed by Saudi club
Recent reports have claimed that Arbeloa has advised Madrid's board to listen to offers for Camavinga. He feels the Frenchman has underperformed this season and Liverpool are monitoring the situation.
According to 365Scores (via Football Espana), Saudi Pro League giants Al-Ittihad want to sign the 23-year-old. They are on the lookout for an N'Golo Kante replacement following the veteran French midfielder's move to Fenerbahce in January.
It's claimed that an "astronomical" contract offer is being prepared by the Saudi club who are also dealing with Karim Benzema's departure. Madrid's legendary former striker left Sergio Conceicao's side last month and joined rivals Al-Hilal.
The La Liga giants will be in no rush to make a decision over Camavinga's future because he still has three years on his contract. But the likelihood of a new creative midfielder arriving might make the higher-ups ponder whether a huge sale can help them address other areas of the team.
A Camavinga exit is unlikely
Camavinga, who Xabi Alonso branded "quality" earlier this season, has been at Madrid since the summer of 2021, when he arrived from French outfit Stade Rennais in a €55m deal. He has appeared 17 times in La Liga this season, scoring one goal.
The France international's versatility has been used as he has performed a makeshift left-back role when required. He is still young and yet to reach his peak which casts significant doubt over the club considering selling him.
That's unless the Saudi Arabian club come up with an audacious bid that is simply too much to turn down. But the Saudi Pro League have taken a cautious approach with spending in recent times following the chaos that ensued with Europe's top players following Cristiano Ronaldo to the Middle East.
