Real Madrid's injury problems refuse to leave them alone. In the game against Osasuna, they suffered three of them. And the most significant one was that of Eder Militao. The Brazilian centre-back has torn his ACL for the second-straight season. He is expected to remain out for the rest of the campaign. We wish him a speedy and complete recovery.

Militao's injury does leave Real Madrid in a tough spot. In the summer, Nacho Fernandez left and was not replaced. On the other hand, David Alaba is yet to return from his own injury, which he picked up last season. Aurelien Tchouameni and Dani Carvajal, two players who have filled in at centre-back in the past, are out injured as well.

All things consider, Antonio Rudiger and Jesus Vallejo are the only two centre-back options that Carlo Ancelotti has at the moment. That is not the position you want to be in with the team struggling for form and big games coming up.

Amid all this, the idea of Sergio Ramos returning to Real Madrid has been floated. The Spaniard is a free agent right now. As reported by GOAL, Guti said:

"Militao is a very important player who had just recovered from last year's injury, who was getting back to his best and who is leaving Madrid's defence in a tight spot. He is joined by Carvajal's injury. Alaba has had a very long injury...

"You have to go out on the market. Sergio Ramos is without a team. Right back and centre back. In this situation, I clearly see him, at zero cost. He comes from playing last year in Sevilla and doing well. A man who has been in the team, who was active last year. Who continues to take care of himself and who can offer those six months."

Amid all this, has Ramos hinted that he is open to the idea of a Real Madrid return? As tweeted out by MadridXtra, the Spaniard liked a post on Instagram sharing some of Guti's comments.

Of course, we do not need to say much about Ramos' history at Real Madrid. He spent a decade-and-a-half at Santiago Bernabeu, eventually captained Los Blancos and won countless trophies while wearing the Royal White jersey.

Most recently, he played for Sevilla. And he was a regular for them last season. So, it is not like he can no longer perform at the highest level. Bringing Ramos back on a short-term contract until the end of the campaign would not be the worst idea in the world. On the contrary, his leadership and experience could help Real Madrid get things back on track after what has been a shaky start.
