CB - William Saliba. William Saliba is one of the best defenders in the world. He is still young too, so he could be Real Madrid's best defender for many years down the line.

CB - Antonio Rudiger. Antonio Rudiger recently named William Saliba as his dream centre-back partner. Needless to say, Real Madrid fans hope that Rudi gets his wish.

LB - Ferland Mendy. The left-back position is one which Real Madrid could easily strengthen. However, given Ferland Mendy's contract extension, it is safe to assume Carlo Ancelotti considers him valuable.

CM - Eduardo Camavinga. Eduardo Camavinga is one of Real Madrid's unsung heroes. He is key to Carlo Ancelotti's plan, so he will remain in his position. It is also a benefit that he's a teammate of William Saliba for the national team, so they understand each other well.

CM - Federico Valverde. A Real Madrid legend, by every stretch of the imagination. He is happy to do a stint anywhere, so he will continue to be a star player for Real Madrid.
