Real Madrid won their record-extending 15th UEFA Champions League title against Borussia Dortmund at the Wembley Stadium last season. Goals from Dani Carvajal and Vinicius Jr were enough to land them their second title in three years.

They obviously got a lot of bonuses and reward money for winning the Champions League, and it must have activated some sort of clause in some of the players' contracts.

However, Florentino Perez personally gave every single Real Madrid player a stunning bonus after they lifted the trophy for the sixth time in 11 years.

Real Madrid paid 900,000 euros to each player for winning Champions League last season

According to a recent report from Jose Felix Diaz of MARCA, Real Madrid shelled out 900,000 euros for every single senior player for winning the Champions League last season.

Real Madrid had a bonus budget of around 40 million, and the players got a good chunk of it.

It feels absolutely deserved because of the fact that Real Madrid won the Champions League when not many people expected them to. Real Madrid won the title while not being one of the favorites to win it, as noted by so many pundits like Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards.

Real Madrid had recently lost Karim Benzema, and were playing the entire season without a single striker in the roster, which made people doubt how far they can go.

However, Jude Bellingham came into the picture and scored more than 20 goals as Real Madrid were able to prove their doubters once again.

Real Madrid now do not have that problem - they have finally signed Kylian Mbappe and their goalscoring problems, for the most part, have gone away.

There is an expectation for Los Blancos to win the trophy once again, but it is looking much more difficult this time around due to Real Madrid's struggles in form and Barcelona's brilliance on the other hand.
