2) Score first and early

If Los Blancos want to win this game, they have to score first. The Whites are playing at their home stadium and do not want to go behind first. If they concede first and end up chasing the game, they will start leaving a lot of spaces for Messi and Co. to exploit. This may in turn cause Madrid to concede goals and get another hammering from the Blaugranas.

It’s also necessary to score early to settle any nerves the team may have. It will act as a huge confidence booster for the Whites if they knick an early goal and Barcelona end up having to chase the game. With speedsters like Vinicius, Mendy, Valverde, and Bale in the team a counter-attacking game can then suit Madrid especially later on in the second half against tiring Barca legs.

If things don’t go according to plan and Real Madrid do concede first, a quick reply is a must from the Blancos. It will be important for the Whites to not let Barcelona settle into the game.

Since Madrid is the side playing at home, it would be wise to guess that Los Blancos will dominate proceedings and it’s going to be very important for them to turn that dominance into goals.
