2. Vinicius Junior and Eden Hazard at the same time

For the first time in the 2019-2020 season, Real Madrid started both Eden Hazard and Vinicius Junior at the same time against Mallorca. Hazard left the game early as a substitute after playing as the center attacking midfielder, and while he didn’t light the game up, he did play cleanly in the center of the park for Los Blancos.

But it was Vinicius who took center stage, playing at a higher level than anyone else on the pitch for a second straight game. He has been the difference-maker several times this season, and he scored the first goal via a picture-perfect chip. Vinicius nearly scored with another chip minutes later, too.

Hazard and Vinicius are two of Real’s best overall players, and they are certainly the team’s best players at creating chances for others. Although it may be difficult for two stylistically similar players to coexist in most teams, Real Madrid should be an exception, especially since both players are so talented and so unselfish. With time, they form Europe’s most formidable attacking trio with Karim Benzema, who has a tremendous rapport with both star players.

Zinedine Zidane will want his best players to be in the lineup at the same time, and Hazard and Vinicius have shown since the restart that they are indeed two of Los Blancos’ best players.
