Midfielders

Casemiro 7/10

Casemiro did not have his usual stellar performance but still looked sound on and off the ball. He is one of the best at shielding the defense from the single-pivot position.

His absence impacted Los Blancos’ control in the game negatively impacted after being substituted in the second half.

Casemiro had two clearances, one tackle, and one interception in the match.

Fede Valverde – 7/10

Valverde had a solid game as a box-to-box presence. He positioned himself well and put on an excellent display in the midfield. He completed three dribbles in the game, allowing him to progress the ball to the final third.

However, his passing in the attacking half lacked precision, and it is one part of his game that needs improving. He brings a lot of energy and physicality in the midfield. If the Uruguayan can improve his ability with the final ball, he will be a force to reckon.

Isco – 9/10

Isco had one of his best games of the season. He was excellent on the ball and helped Los Blancos control the midfield in the first half.

The former Malaga man put in a lovely ball for Ramos’s goal in the first half. The little magician also served a perfect through ball to Asensio for the Merengues’ second goal.

The Spanish midfielder got Real Madrid out of trouble multiple times with his skills on the ball. Isco completed three dribbles, three key passes, and two assists in the match.
