Real Madrid at Inter Milan, Champions League, Nov. 25

And then just a few days after playing against one of La Liga’s best teams, Real Madrid must go up against the most talented side in their Champions League group in Inter Milan.

Real cannot think they have an advantage over Inter, even though they defeated the Serie A side 3-2 in their first Champions League meeting this season. Playing at the San Siro, even without fans, is a different element entirely, and Inter will also have their most important player back in the lineup in Romelu Lukaku. He makes all the difference in the world to Inter and will be a nightmare for Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane to defend.

Every single game in the Champions League is a must-win for Los Blancos. They cannot leave anything to chance, because they already hurt themselves greatly by losing to Shakhtar Donetsk. There are no easy opponents in that group.

Inter at the San Siro is their toughest remaining matchup in the group, too. Real almost blew the game against them at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stefano, so they will need to turn in a much more complete performance on the road in order to secure the three points they need. A loss to Inter would be devastating.
