Pau Torres has established himself as a crucial figure in Unai Emery’s Villarreal squad and has been touted to take the bigger step and join a regular participant of the UEFA Champions League in due course. The Spaniard was also a key member of Luis Enrique’s Spain side which made its way to the semifinals of the European Championships earlier on in the summer.

Torres has also been pipped to be a replacement for Sergio Ramos in the longer run, but regardless of whether he replaces the now Paris Saint-Germain central defender or Varane, the young defender will be a great signing.
