BERNARDO SILVA – MANCHESTER CITY

Bernardo Silva had one step out of Manchester City this summer as the Portugal international was keen on leaving the club in search of regular minutes. Although Silva wanted to leave and was put on the transfer market, there weren’t any suitable offers for the versatile forward to leave Manchester.

Despite all the speculation on his future, the 27-year-old has started the 2021-22 season on a bright note. He’s started seven out of the eight Premier League fixtures that Manchester City have played so far while scoring two goals as well. His performance against Liverpool at Anfield was out of this world and the Portuguese midfielder seems to have booked a permanent spot in Pep Guardiola’s eleven.

The Catalan manager recently praised Silva’s performance against Burnley and hailed the midfielder to be extraordinary and now believes that he could change his mind about leaving the club.

If Bernardo Silva is to leave the Etihad Stadium next season? Should Real Madrid consider signing him? While Silva will certainly not be a priority on Real Madrid’s list of targets next season, his potential arrival could benefit the club in several ways.

Since Silva can play in multiple positions as a right-winger or an attacking midfielder, Los Blancos could consider getting rid of a player like Marco Asensio ( who is also very versatile) but is extremely inconsistent. Apart from the versatility that the 27-year-old offers, he is also an elite dribbler and creates chances out of nothing.

Real Madrid have lacked an elite dribbler and Silva’s presence in the eleven could help in breaking down opposition backlines. Would you want Bernardo Silva at the Santiago Bernabeu next summer?
