Perhaps the only weak spot, per se, in Real Madrid’s entire roster is the right-wing. Rodrygo Goes is a good option, but he’s the only good option, and without him, we’re left with Marco Asensio, who can’t really be trusted even after scoring the third highest goals for the team.

Fede Valverde is a good player there but we all know his best football comes out when he is playing as a central midfielder.

So, there’s not a lot to decipher for Real Madrid; They might’ve signed some players if Asensio were to leave the club, but the best option available to them has now taken himself out of consideration.

Serge Gnabry, who I have been a fan of for a long time, renewed his contract with Bayern till 2026, squishing all my hopes and dreams of him being a Real Madrid player at least for the considerable future.

Serge Gnabry renewing at least gives players like Rodrygo a chance to steal the show

There is one good thing about all of this, though: Gnabry was really the only player I wanted Real to sign in that position, out of the ones that are available. Now, I would much rather see Rodrygo and maybe even Sergio Arribas play on the wing and improve, hopefully, fill the gaps and score some goals in the process.

Rodrygo I am sure is going to get a lot of playing time on the right wing this season, but I am worried about his compatriot.

I don’t want it to be Asensio, I am really tired of seeing him play for the club. I would love for it to be Arribas, because that kid is just really, really good. He scored more than 15 goals for Castilla last season.

Next. Real Madrid are “positioning” themselves to sign world-class player in 2023. dark

If he’s able to get the playing time that I hope he gets, I think Arribas could also prove to be a good player off the bench for Real, kind of like how Rodrygo was last season. Just depends on how much Ancelotti starts trusting him, because, well, that’s kind of a big thing. My man just doesn’t like to play Castilla players.
