Real Madrid buy a lot of players. They sell a lot of players. They also loan a lot of players out. Sometimes, they make decisions that Real Madrid fans are baffled by. Sometimes, they actually get excited, or relieved by a decision to sell or buy.
This, I think would be kind of in the middle.
Brahim Diaz has been on loan at AC Milan for a couple of seasons now, and they are going to keep him on for another season at the club.
According to multiple reports, via Managing Madrid, Real Madrid are not going to make a decision on him until next summer.
The club does think he has the talent, however, his previous season wasn’t all that great. Real Madrid are hoping that Brahim Diaz gets himself back on track with a good season at Milan before rejoining the team in the summer of 2023.
Brahim Diaz could be a good option to have on the RW if he develops as a player this season
I think it is fair to say that Brahim’s future depends on what he does this season. Whether he’d be a squad player for the best team in the world, or be sold to another club next season. All of it remains in question.
Brahim has shown that he has the talent. He had a great first season in Milan, followed by a decent enough start to his second season. But, after contracting COVID-19, Brahim’s form went far down south, and he could never really recover.
The club, and the fans of the player himself, hope that the Spaniard can get himself back together mentally and physically so that he can once again be a useful player under Pioli at Milan, a team that is very fun to watch when Brahim’s at his best. Well, they’re fun to watch either way.

I don’t think that this version of Brahim would get any minutes at Real Madrid, but, the best version of him could go on and be a good squad player, it just depends on Brahim and his form, at this point. An incredibly important season ahead.
