The summer 2026 transfer window is winding to a close soon, and Real Madrid still need to make a few more moves to finish up the offseason on the right note. After sealing a 140 million euro blockbuster deal for Yan Diomande but missing out on World Cup Golden Ball midfielder Rodri to rivals Barcelona, here are three more moves Real must strike before the window ends.
Get rid of Eduardo Camavinga
Although giving Eduardo Camavinga the boot is not as important now as it was back when Real Madrid were in the thick of the Rodri transfer battle, it is not impossible for Real to circle back for Rodri, either this summer or as a free agent next year, if they can somehow find a way to let Camavinga go despite the Frenchman refusing to leave. After all, Barcelona still haven't officially signed Rodri to a new deal either.
Camavinga is a great player in theory, but in reality, he is immensely disappointing. The young Frenhcman is what you get when a player leans on their athletic traits for too long and never gets better at reading the game or progressing his technique. He needs to go.
Sign a new starting center back
Real Madrid brought in Ibrahima Konate for free to start with Eder Militao when he is healthy, but there is, sadly, no telling how many games the Brazilian international will even play this season. Jose Mourinho has shown interest in top center backs Nico Schlotterbeck and Alessandro Bastoni before this transfer window, but imagine if Real were able to land proven La Liga star and World Cup winner Aymeric Laporte next to Konate. They are one top center back away from having one of the best defenses in Europe again.
Find an Endrick solution
Loaning Endrick does not necessarily need to be the final solution, but Real Madrid need to move past all the conflitcing media reports and make a clear statement on what their plans are for Endrick this upcoming season. The Brazilian gem is one of the best prospects in all of world football and did show he is ready for the big time at Lyon last season, performing a top five player in Ligue 1 after joining on loan. The problem is Real Madrid just signed both Yan Diomande and Carlos Espi, sealing Endrick as the No. 3 choice on the right wing and at striker when everyone is healthy. Real need to give the young man and the rest of the world some clarity here.
