Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed who he believes shares Kylian Mbappe's problem at the club. He has even included himself in that calibre.

Since arriving at Real Madrid in the summer, Kylian Mbappe has hardly covered himself in glory. As someone who was tipped to become the best player in the world, there was bound to be plenty of scrutity surrounding his Real Madrid arrival.

Last week, when all eyes were on Real Madrid, Kylian Mbappe let the side down by missing a penalty against Liverpool. Real Madrid fans will not be too harsh on him as we expect him to come back and prove the doubters wrong. However, there is no denying that the Anfield penalty miss would have hurt.

Carlo Ancelotti reveals who shares Kylian Mbappe's problem at Real Madrid

According to a report from 90min, Carlo Ancelotti has claimed that Kylian Mbappe's problem is not a personal one, but instead a problem which is shared by Real Madrid. The Italian coach has included himself within that camp.

In his own words, Carlo Ancelotti said: "[Mbappe's] problem is everyone's problem. We must try to get the best out of ourselves: his, mine and that of other players. The problem is not with one player, but with a team that has not been able to have continuity or get the best out of itself."

Concluding, Carlo Ancelotti said: "I'm like Mbappe. I'm trying everything to get the best version of myself. The results say that I haven't gotten the best version of myself. I'm not happy, but I'm worried enough. I'm convinced that we're going to fix it, as always. On a personal level, I'm very happy."

It is certainly true that competing at this level requires incredibly high standards. Therefore, it is not only easy for fans to be critical of seemingly underperforming players but it is just as easy for those players to be self-critical.

In the last La Liga match, Kylian Mbappe scored a goal, which will relieve the French superstar. He started on the left-wing, which is seemingly his best position. Real Madrid fans hope that his stint out wide will re-spark that confidence in him which seems to be missing.

Now that the fixture schedule is heating up, a lot will be expected of Kylian Mbappe. Fans will hope that first and foremost, he remains fit. Secondly, they hope that the Frenchman continues to prove the doubters wrong.

After all, Madridistas do not have short memories - Mbappe is one of the best players in the world.
