Ahead of the summer transfer window it seems as though Real Madrid have been linked with every midfielder in world football at some point. It went from Vitinha to Rodri to Kees Smit to Enzo Fernandez then back to Rodri is a never ending cycle of midfield transfer rumors. Recently we've seen Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez talk up his dream of playing for Real Madrid one day and he's not the only Argentine Premier League midfielder who hopes to one day play for Los Blancos.
As being reported by theMadridZone on X, Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister dreams of one day playing for Real Madrid, however unfortunately for the midfielder a move for him is seen as 'distant' but Real Madrid. Mac Allister is under contract with Liverpool until 2028, and Real Madrid have other players they are looking at to sort out their midfield issues.
Mac Allister wants Real Madrid, but do they want him?
Enzo Fernandez has been dropping major hints in the recent weeks of his dream to one day play for Real Madrid, and he is now joined by his Argentine compatriot Alexis Mac Allister in that dream. Mac Allister has actually been linked with a move to the Bernabeu in previous months but unfortunetly for the player, it seems that Real Madrid have other thoughts in mind.
There's no denying that Mac Allister is a top class player and one of the most underrated players in the Premier League. He brings a number of attributes to the table that Real Madrid are looking for in their midfield targets, compossure, a wide passing range, and the ability to control the tempo of the game all on his own, he would be a solid option should Real Madrid look his way, but it doesn't seem that is the case.
Due to his contract length and Liverpool not seeming to be interested in parting ways with the 27-year-old, his dream of one day playing for Real Madrid may be one he won't achieve. While realistically Real could wait till his contract expires to sign him on a free transfer, he'd be two years older and by then the could would no doubt have already signed their preferred midfield target.
So unfortunately for Mac Allister, his dream of one day playing for Real Madrid seems to be exactly that, just a dream. The club has a big decision on their hands when the summer transfer window opens in a few months time, and they can't afford to make the wrong decision as it could set the club back both financially as well as on the pitch.
