Real Madrid have become quite active in the transfer market again.  They've already made two terrific additions, and many more are in the pipeline. Alvaro Carreras, Nico Paz, Franco Mastantuono are the most frequently uttered names in relation to Los Blancos' summer's interests.

To accommodate all of these signings, room in the squad must be created, which will necessitate the departure of several young and old players.  Some toward a permanent goodbye, some toward a see-you-later exit. The majority of the squad, however, will remain. There aren't many issues with the present players; it's just a mindset and tactical issue that will be resolved shortly.

Real Madrid nevertheless had a good group this season, and little modifications with some replacements can work wonders for the next one. Good work has already been done in this regard.

So, here is a grade list for the whole Real Madrid squad based on three criteria: keep, sell, or loan for the forthcoming season.

Goalkeepers

Thibaut Courtois - Keep: YYou'd think me insane if I wrote anything else than "keep." I'd also consider myself mad. Thibaut Courtois is currently one of the world's top three goalkeepers, and having him on the team is a huge honor. He does all of the work between the sticks and has virtually always rescued Real Madrid from a bad situation. In addition, the club holds tremendous regard for him. They recently disregarded their internal rule of only providing one-year contract extensions to players above the age of 30, giving him a two-year renewal. Even if I try my hardest, I can't think of a single reason to consider pushing him closer to any exit choice. Courtois must stay at all costs and will do so with utmost pragmatism.

Andriy Lunin - Keep: This one is fascinating. As a Real Madrid fan, I would love to see Lunin stay another year, but he is currently underutilized, or has been under Carlo Ancelotti. The unavoidable truth is that Lunin is now too excellent to be a backup goalkeeper. He has saved Real Madrid on numerous occasions and was a key character in the Copa Del Rey this season, but having Courtois play in the final ahead of him clearly indicated his ongoing second-choice status. So, as a Real Madrid fan, I want him to stay. However, from an empathy standpoint, I'd rather Lunin depart for his own sake.
