Chelsea are no longer interested in Real Madrid transfer this summer

Chelsea, like Real Madrid, are known to be beasts in the transfer window. The London club has made quite the name for themselves throughout the years of being big spenders and even in the current economy, they have found and exploited loopholes which allows them to spend bigger amounts than their competitors. In recent years, it has resulted in big-money Chelsea transfers, including the likes of Mykhaylo Mudryk, Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez.
Well, this summer, Chelsea were quoted a fair price for a Real Madrid transfer. Los Blancos quoted just €30m to sign Andriy Lunin, amid news that Chelsea were on the hunt for a new goalkeeper and showing a particular interest in the Ukrainian.

However, Chelsea's transfer pursuit of Andriy Lunin is now over with. According to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea are no longer interested in signing Andriy Lunin this summer. This is in light of Filip Jorgensen's arrival at Chelsea, leaving the goalkeeper position stacked at Stamford Bridge. So, the door is completely closed for Andriy Lunin.
This does suggest some good news for Real Madrid, though. With Chelsea stacked in the goalkeeping department, it is more than likely they will consider selling Kepa Arrizabalaga. Real Madrid are certainly interested in signing the Spanish goalkeeper on a permanent deal, after he impressed during last season's loan spell.
Kepa was behind Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin in the pecking order in the Spanish capital last season but he did impress when he played. Ultimately, it could be the Chelsea player who has the last laugh, as he could be given a clearer rotational plan in the Real Madrid team.
Nobody is under the false assumption that Kepa will become the first choice at Real Madrid. This spot deservedly belongs to Thibaut Courtois, at least until he retires or leaves. However, Carlo Ancelotti is fair enough in his squad rotation protocol, so Kepa will be given opportunities to prove himself.
For Andriy Lunin, his future looks a little less certain now. However, he is still more likely to leave Real Madrid than stay. If the right club comes in for him, then Real Madrid are unlikely to step in the way of a transfer. The only thing which can be said with close-to-certainty is that it won't be Chelsea who signs Lunin now.
Where do you think Andriy Lunin will play next season?
