Real Madrid are six points clear at the top of the La Liga standings, having won their recent match in the dying moments. Furthermore, they are still competing in the Champions League, alongside some great teams in Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Arsenal.

With Carlo Ancelotti at the helm, he will be proud but he won't be satisfied. As far as the Italian manager is concerned, there will be improvements he could make to the team and these are improvements he plans to implement in the summer transfer window.

The La Liga president Javier Tebas has already predicted a busy summer transfer window for Real Madrid, with one or two monumental signings to be made since they have banked their cash in recent transfer windows. If recent news is anything to go by, they have found their man.

Real Madrid agree to sign world-class Bayern Munich defender

Real Madrid have been active in the transfer window of late and they have recently reached a verbal agreement with Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies. The agreement on personal terms will bring Davies to Real Madrid in 2024 or 2025. If he were to arrive this summer, Real Madrid would pay a fee to Real Madrid, which they are willing to pay. However, they could land him for free when his contract expires in 2025, as per The Athletic.

It does not look likely that Alphonso Davies will extend his stay in Munich and with the future at the club unclear, this is probably wise. The Bavarian giants are not having a great time of things this season and Thomas Tuchel's future at the club is up in the air, so Davies may be getting out at the right time.

Alphonso Davies signed for Bayern Munich II in 2018, but broke through to the first-team a year later. Since then, he has been a staple in the first team and has seen a few managers come and go. As per WhoScored, he has made 18 Bundesliga appearances so far this season, starting in 17 of them.

Davies is mostly known for his rapid pace, which makes him suited to an attacking full-back role. He is one of the fastest players in the world, which would make him a welcome addition to the Real Madrid team. When you factor Davies in the same team as Kylian Mbappe and providing his probing runs, it is a frightening thought for Real Madrid's rivals.

Do you think Alphonso Davies is a good signing for Real Madrid?
