This week, The Real Champs revealed that Erling Haaland was linked with a move to La Liga, after journalist Sam Lee said that the Norwegian talisman dreams of playing with Real Madrid. Since then, there hadn't been much talk about the links, until Erling Haaland raised eyebrows with something he has recently said.

Real Madrid-linked star speaks about leaving Manchester City

In the buildup to Manchester City's Champions League 2nd leg tie against Copenhagen, Erling Haaland was asked about how he has adapted to life in Manchester. To which, the Norwegian responded he was very happy but he didn't rule out moving away as soon after, he said that tomorrow this could all change.

In his own words (cited by The Mirror): “I’m really happy, especially with the people that I’m surrounded with. The manager, the directors, the board, they are a group of amazing people and I’m really happy, I have to say. If I say this now it’s probably going to be a massive headline, but tomorrow you never know what the future brings. But I’m happy. You can write this, but you also have to write everything I said before. I’m happy.”

Haaland reinstated many times that he is happy in Manchester and why wouldn't he be? After all, he is scoring goals for fun and frankly, making "the best league in the world" look easy and systematic. However, from a Real Madrid perspective, it is certainly interesting that he is refusing to rule out a move in the future.

The reality of this sport is that nobody is ever completely content and settled in their current position. After all, when Real Madrid come calling, it is more difficult to reject those calls than people care to admit. Haaland is playing at the height of his career, and he would be a welcomed signing at Real Madrid, should it come to this.
