Real Madrid’s season hasn’t gone according to their plan so far. Los Blancos lost the final of the Spanish Super Cup against their rivals Barcelona recently, shortly after which the club parted ways with Xabi Alonso. Additionally, Real are also out of the Copa del Rey after their disappointing defeat against Segunda Division side Albacete.

However, the story is different when it comes to La Liga, especially after Barcelona’s 2–1 loss to Real Sociedad. That result leaves Los Blancos just one point behind their rivals, with a significant number of matches still left to be played.

As a result, Real still have the opportunity to end up at the top of the table this season if they manage to find their footing and gain some momentum.

Odds have now emerged revealing Real’s chances of doing the same, and the numbers should give fans plenty of reason to feel optimistic.

Real Madrid’s La Liga title chances

According to Polymarket, Madrid have a 39% possibility of being crowned LaLiga winners, while Barcelona hold the highest probability at 57%.

If history has taught Real fans anything, it’s that all the club needs is a one percent chance to turn things around. So 39% is more than enough for them to win La Liga.

However, it’s no secret that the club needs to improve on multiple fronts if they want to make it a reality. The defence is in shambles, the midfield has been non-existent in some matches, and an inconsistent Vinicius Junior is one of the many things Alvaro Arbeloa will have to fix soon.

Additionally, one of the most urgent needs is for the club to regain the fans’ trust, with supporters making their disappointment known. Real’s 2–0 win against Levante was a good start, but the quality of football was not up to the mark by any means.

Real face Monaco next as they resume their Champions League journey. Winning another Champions League isn’t out of the equation either, with Los Blancos still sitting in a position for automatic qualification to the round of 16. So it’s another competition to keep in mind.

Anyway, it’s good to see Real slowly getting out of the storm. On top of that, this news regarding their chances of being LaLiga champions is a much-needed reminder that the season isn’t over and there’s still a lot to win.
