Dani Carvajal is one of Real Madrid's true legends. A native talent, the kid who laid the groundwork for Real Madrid city, is now 33 years old and has garnered countless accolades and respect at the club.

He was missing for virtually the entire season due to injury, and his absence cost Madrid dearly. Los Blancos are close to signing Trent Alexander Arnold as a regular at the position.

In a recent interview with OK Mobility, for whom Carvajal is the brand ambassador, the star hinted that his playing career might be coming to an end.

He said, "It's been a long journey. My sports career is already nearing its end. I hope not, but I have to be realistic.”

Dani Carvajal is one of Real Madrid's biggest legends ever

Carvajal has been a Madridista throughout his career. He grew up in La Fabrica and has been a part of every iconic Real Madrid team over the last decade.

His longevity is greatly undervalued. The right back has been at the peak of his game for the bulk of his career, making him irreplaceable under all of the managers he has worked with. A career this successful at the top of the game at a club like Real Madrid deserves special recognition in and of itself.

Real Madrid have probably never had a more steady and consistent right back. Carvajal has been the team's driving force. Even when he was injured this season, he was always on the sidelines in critical games, guiding the squad and taking a stand for them.

He is a madridista at heart, as evidenced by every stride he has taken on the pitch while wearing the Real Madrid jersey.

However, now is the moment to be realistic. Although the player's statements do not suggest an early retirement, it is not impossible in a year or two. Madrid will rely on him for another season this time, as Lucas Vazquez is expected to leave following a disappointing season.

His presence, as previously stated, extends well beyond the field. He is the team's captain and serves as its leader in every capacity.
