Real Madrid are set to sign Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen as soon as possible. Everything is in order - including Fabrizio Romano's fabled Here We Go - and he will sign his contracts very soon, according to reports from all of Europe.
The deal is done, agreement is in place and Huijsen can practically be confirmed as a Real Madrid player.
Everyone has been singing his praises, and rightfully so. Huijsen has been brilliant for Bournemouth this season, and he will be a great addition to Real Madrid as soon as the Club World Cup starts.
It makes sense. Jose Mourinho, who was with Huijsen when they were at Roma, had only good things to say about him when he was asked about the player a few years ago. Now, it makes so much more sense.
Mourinho said: “He has 10 minutes of football in Serie A, but he is one of the biggest talents in football. He will be a great player in the future.”
The former Real Madrid manager was proven right one more time
Real Madrid have been brilliant in finding good talent across the market to develop them for the future, and Huijsen can be one of them.
Even though he has already proven to be a brilliant player in the Premier League, it is worth noting that he is only getting started. Huijsen is 20 years old. He has things to improve on, which could instil fear in the rest of Europe.
Real Madrid truly have one of the best young central defenders for the next decade in their hands now. Combine his skills with Raul Asencio's, and you have a brilliant center-back partnership that could last a decade at Real Madrid.
Besides, the club have needed Spanish Internationals on their team, so it is definitely a good thing to have Huijsen play for the club in that regard as well.
Real Madrid fans will enjoy Huijsen, and Mourinho will be proven right once again, as he has a track record for doing so.
