Real Madrid are still recovering from their shock 3-0 first leg loss against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium. The two teams will face each other for the second leg on 16th April at the Santiago Bernabeu. Despite the fact that it will take something incredible for Real Madrid to turn things around against Arsenal, if there’s any team capable of coming back from a three-goal deficit, it is undoubtedly Real Madrid.

Here are three reasons why Real Madrid can turn it around against Arsenal:

90 minutes at the Bernabeu is a long time

There’s a saying that 90 minutes at the Santiago Bernabeu is a long time. Manchester City knows why, PSG knows why and many other teams have found out the hard way. Arsenal will find themselves under immense pressure when they step onto the pitch at the Bernabeu, surrounded by a sea of white shirts.

Real Madrid will have to rely on their Champions League experience to orchestrate a comeback against a Arsenal who are still chasing their first Champions League trophy. The legendary Bernabeu atmosphere will make sure Los Blancos get all the support they need.

Impact players

Real Madrid have some of the best players in the world right now. It’s true that the team struggled in the first leg matchup, but that doesn’t mean the story will be the same in the second leg.

The Los Blancos’ players are talented enough to change the face of a game in an instance. All it will take is some moments of magic from the Real Madrid players and they will be back in the tie.

Real Madrid are boosted by key returns to the squad

Although injury issues still remain, Real Madrid are set to be boosted by the return of Dani Ceballos for the second leg. Ceballos was having a great season for Real Madrid before being sidelined due to an muscle injury.

Aurelian Tchouameni is also back after a suspension ruled him out of the first leg. So Ancelotti will have more options while deciding the lineup for the second leg.

More often than not, when the match seemed all but over, Real Madrid found a way to pull off the impossible. Even after the first-leg loss, the players have remained confident, they’ve been here before, and they know how to turn things around.

That being said, Real Madrid can’t afford to misfire again and will need to be at their absolute best on Wednesday. The task ahead is much tougher in reality than it appears. This season hasn’t been our best so far, but these are the defining moments and if Real Madrid can pull off this comeback, they’ll be back on track.
