Arsenal would like to sign a new Real Madrid player. It is believed to be a similar project to the former Martin Odegaard transfer.
Arsenal have a great experience of signing players from Real Madrid. In 2021, they signed Martin Odegaard on a short loan deal. Mikel Arteta fell in love with the former Real Madrid wonderkid and signed him permanently. Now, he is their best player and the current captain of the club.
Arsenal tried a similar approach with Dani Ceballos before Odegaard. While this loan spell was not as successful as that of Odegaard's, Ceballos did show great development while on loan in North London.
So, Arsenal have a great history of improving Real Madrid midfielders. It is now the case that Mikel Arteta wants to repeat this same history.

According to a report from Sport, Arsenal would like to sign Arda Guler from Real Madrid. It is believed that the Gunners see his case as similar to Martin Odegaard's former situation. If Arsenal can benefit as much as they did with Odegaard, it is clear to see why they are interested.
The Spanish outlet confirms the agreed-upon notion that Arda Guler is unhappy in the Spanish capital. After all, he has not made nearly as many minutes as he would have liked to make at this stage.
Arda Guler made a big career jump when he signed for Real Madrid. As the biggest club in the world, it is often at the top of every player's bucket list to be a Real Madrid player. However, Guler has not made any progress in climbing the pecking order.
Despite making some great appearances and scoring some terrific goals for Real Madrid, Guler is struggling in the Spanish capital. This is because he is not given nearly enough minutes by Carlo Ancelotti, so he is growing frustrated and lacking direction in the royal white jersey.
At Arsenal, it would be much easier for Arda Guler to showcase his talents. Not only would he be handed more minutes, but he will play under the captaincy of Martin Odegaard, who knows what it takes to turn his career around after a poor start to life at Real Madrid.
From Real's perspective, they hope that the only difference between Arda and Martin is that the Turkish international chooses to play for Real Madrid long-term.
