The Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer is bound to have a ripple effect on the rest of Europe. Los Blancos have been chasing the Frenchman for as long as he has been around, so many different players and clubs have become caught up in the transfer tangle.

One club who is set to benefit from Mbappe signing for Real Madrid is surprisingly a club who were linked with the player too. It is believed that Man City are actually HAPPY about Real Madrid potentially signing Mbappe, for this reason...

Why Man City are happy about Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid transfer

According to GOAL, Man City rejoiced when they heard the news that Kylian Mbappe would join Real Madrid this summer. The feeling is that now, Los Blancos will not be able to put together enough finances to sign Erling Haaland, who is firing on all cylinders for Man City since he joined last season.

The Real Champs reported recently that Erling Haaland dreams of a move to Real Madrid. Furthermore, his recent comments where he refused to deny a potential move away from Man City were enough to spark fans into a frenzy about him joining. After all, he would make a solid addition and he could continue to break records at the Bernabeu.

I do think Man City's stance is right, though. If anything, signing both Mbappe and Haaland doesn't make sense. Both from a financial and logistical perspective, having two players of their monetary and positional value will only cause more problems than it would solve.

Don't get me wrong, I would be ecstatic to see how Mbappe and Haaland could combine for one season. But after this, the long-term implications of having two understandably large egos in the squad will begin to kick in. So, Man City fans, you can keep your talisman.

For those who aren't aware, Florentino Perez recently made a hint that Mbappe would join Real Madrid. In his own comical way, the Real Madrid president responded with "Who is Mbappe?" when approached by a fan.
